Dança de Roda

“Dança de Roda”: Miguel Tapadas first solo album, and the debut of a musician with a long career in Portuguese music.

“Dança de Roda” was born from the long-delayed need to bring to light original creations that draw on his local and ancestral influences, and are embodied in a meeting of jazz with traditional and classical music. The focus of this project is also the renewal of an unequivocally Portuguese universe within jazz. On a path that began with António Pinho Vargas in the 1980s, it is to present jazz as something emotionally close and recognizable.
