Dela Marmy

Dela Marmy unveils "Luz Clara," the composer and songwriter's second single this year, following "Sem Prescrição" – a song featuring Brazilian singer Paula Morelenbaum.

The new track, also produced by João Correia (Tape Junk), is now available on digital platforms and is accompanied by a music video by Cape Verdean director Máx, which can be seen on the artist's YouTube channel.

"I wanted to write a song based on the ever-increasing possibility of encounters between different origins (and cultures) in this city of Lisbon. One that would reflect the surprising and mysterious light of the dawning night, amid sensuality, desire, and passion, in a curtain of enveloping aroma over the restless bodies that desire each other. At the same time, it was urgent for me to highlight the disconnection after the encounter, the disappearance, the escape into relationships (of different natures) very much in practice in a society that is increasingly less committed, yet increasingly disposable, ephemeral, and illusory.

We live in times of fragility sustained by connections that, for the most part, lack strong, selfless, and consistent bonds, which, in turn, can only give rise to emotional, social, and political voids, rather than bodies and causes that are truly intertwined, empathetic, responsible, and present."

"Luz Clara" is an introspective, sensitive, and open song, with multiple directions and reflections. A voluptuous song. A song of clairvoyance and contestation.
