Dela Marmy - Sem Prescrição feat. Paula Morelenbaum

Dela Marmy

Dela Marmy will release the single “Sem Prescrição” on March 28th, which features a special guest appearance by Paula Morelenbaum, a Brazilian singer who we know from her years of work with masters Tom Jobim, Jaques Morelenbaum and Sakamoto.

After releasing the album Acaso in 2024, the artist now presents us with a new song, which, as with her previous work, is also produced by João Correia (Tape Junk).

“Sem Prescrição”, or the love that remains beyond a body that leaves, that dies, is a song that celebrates, elevates life and what remains of it in the surroundings, in the cyclical continuity of time and other bodies, reminding us that we are always and only one with the other, intertwined in a network of mirrors. We are everything, nothing and in between, we are pieces of nature in the small landscapes of a kingdom, more or less diluted, more or less consolidated, more or less metamorphosed.

In the words of Dela Marmy, “I invited Paula to write what I consider to be the most significant song of my life to date and, surprisingly, in the back and forth of its deep dive, it is perhaps the one that conveys the most lightness of all the songs that have taken shape. I wrote it with the certainty of a love without a prescription, greater than the universe – I who do not know how to sing about life without going beyond its limits – and Paula was a turning point in the life of the song, a favorable sales pitch complete with wisdom, luminosity and love for art.”

The artwork for the new single is by Jhon Douglas (design) and Alípio Padilha (photography). “Sem Prescrição” is also accompanied by a music video directed by Máx, a Portuguese-Cape Verdean director, and can be seen on the artist’s YouTube.
