Flor de Lume

Susana da Costa presents her debut EP, “Flor de Lume”, a five-song work that explores different forms of love, always with a strong appeal to Portuguese identity.

Between melancholy and passion, each song is an emotional journey where the Portuguese guitar, the captivating melodies and the poetic lyrics create a romantic and timeless atmosphere.

The EP opens with “Olho-te no Mar”, a reflection on longing and hope, where the sea becomes a mirror of deep feelings. This is followed by “Flor de Lume”, which gives its name to the project, describing an intense passion marked by jealousy, a fire that burns without being consumed.

The third song, “Como Ave” evokes a love to be fulfilled and the desire for liberation, using the metaphor of a bird that wants to fly to its destination. Here, the instrumentation takes on new colours with the presence of the violin, piano and guitar, creating a rich and emotional sound. In “Dança Comigo ao Luar”, love emerges as an invitation to connect through dance, in a joyful and rhythmic beat that exalts surrender to the moment.

The EP closes with “Relógio de Corda”, a mental journey to the past, where an unfinished love remained, translating the nostalgia and timelessness of feelings that never fade.

With “Flor de Lume”, Susana Costa debuts with a deeply romantic style, where tradition and modernity meet, keeping the essence of Portuguese music alive.
