Porto Interior

Porto Interior is a theme composed in Macau in 2017, and which has been included in A FLOR DO LÁCIO's shows, in order to mark and celebrate the reception of the Portuguese language as an undeclared spice in the cargo manifests transported in the caravels and slave ships. This common, ship-borne heritage which, like other goods, was cultivated in all parts of the world, is remembered here through poetry and songs, with special emphasis on the dialogue between Brazil and Portugal. Well-known songs coexist with the texts and poems that inspired them, and some poems, perhaps less well-known, have inspired new songs.
