Reconnecting

The ability to reinvent ourselves happens when life offers us no other path. It is an act of restraint, pause, reassessment, which leads us hand in hand to reconnect with our true essence and with the world around us. It is a relearning, taking risks even if fear slows us down, we go back to zero and wait a few seconds, which seem more like a lifetime, to start something new. Reconnecting is that moment, that place, and it is also Maria Vegas first album.

All the songs are original, written in English and composed by the singer. The production is by Paulo Furtado (The Legendary Tigerman), one of the most international and relevant artists in the country. The album also features a guest producer, Diogo Clemente, an essential figure in the national artistic scene. The last track on Reconnecting was produced by Maria Vegas herself, where she shows us her creative process “bare”, the place where everything is born, her and her guitar. The mixing and mastering are by Artur David.
