Migalhas Cósmicas

Fernando Girão

Migalhas Cósmicas is another album that makes us happy because of the art it contains, and thoughtful because of the messages it conveys. It is an album unlike any we have heard before by Fernando Girão, which follows the criterion of bringing us new landscapes in each work. This difference lies in the very difference of each song. Although from the first to the last (the album has 11 songs) it is a continuous parade of “brothers” with their own characteristics, the songs are always linked to the “father,” Fernando Girão. Whether by the common thread that connects the songs or by what the words written in each of them say, they lead us with maturity and mastery along paths that he has always trod, since the beginning of his career.

It is a journey to yet another universe of original sounds. And also warnings about the present, but mainly about an increasingly uncertain future.

What is conveyed in this new project is proof of his wisdom as an artist and a man, who understands with total awareness the suffering of a humanity that, for the most part, walks without knowing where it is going.

This album tries to show us that if we are actively attentive to the passing of life, we can reach higher planes and naturally “understand” what we call life, with its various and complex problems, thus giving those who are less attentive the ability to adapt to a world that changes at every moment.

Migalhas Cósmicas speaks of the realization of the greatness of the universe made by some who try to know what it means to live and of the megalomania of narcissistic madmen who pass by life, without ever understanding their place and considering themselves equal or superior to the Divine immensity that surrounds us in all things Created by a Higher Power. Whatever that Power may be, or whatever name it has. It draws our attention to the imperative need to assume humility as a starting point to achieve some wisdom that leads us to understand our role, the value we have and who we are in the eternal game of life.
