EnRaizado is the title of José Barros new album.

New musicians, new music… “Because the roots are, at the same time, a shelter and a chain. They are what keep me connected to who I am, to who I will always be, but they also challenge me to recognize that, no matter how much I try to distance myself, I will never be completely free from them. And perhaps this is the greatest freedom I can have: accepting that the music I make is, deep down, an extension of the land where I was born, of the freedom (50 years) that I helped to grow and consolidate, of the voice, of singing and of thinking/playing/singing in Portuguese, whether here or in the world.”
