Miguel Ramos
Miguel Ramos is the best example of what it means to sing fado and be a fado singer. Son of guitarist Vitor Ramos, he was born into fado in Lisbon, among the nightlife, the fado singers and the culture that moulds his soul.
In 1996, he competed in the prestigious Grande Noite do Fado at the Coliseu dos Recreios and won the title outright. Since then she has been one of the biggest references in the fado community, singing at the most emblematic venues alongside the greatest fado singers such as Fernando Mauricio. He enjoyed many years of success inside and outside Portugal, singing on every continent until he took up the art of playing the viola, becoming one of the leading musicians in this language and dedicating many years to playing with the most important artists such as Carlos do Carmo and Camané or La Féria's Amália project.
Today he is one of the most important male voices in fado. He continues to tour internationally with the great director Pippo Delbono in the play Amore and with his solo concerts.
