AOK 15th Anniversary Edition
Angry Odd KidsIn 2008, AOK entered the studio to record their first original album with sound engineer Ricardo Espinha, known for his work with bands such as Fonzie, More Than A Thousand, Klepht, One Hundred Steps, Icon and the Black Roses, etc. The end result was truly surprising, a fact that was also contributed to by the work developed by M. Teixeira, whose programming & sampling credits range from the North American singer MYA to New Found Glory, including Finch and The Starting Line.
In their debut full-length album, Angry Odd Kids features, among others, the participation of Hugo Maia from Fonzie and João Pedro Almendra from Peste & Sida, on the song “Olhos 'tás parado”, and MCs from Mundo Secreto on the song “Confissões Asféricas”.
"AOK" was the name chosen for Angry Odd Kids' debut album, released on October 6, 2009. In total, there are 16 new songs full of the energy and irreverence that characterize South Florida pop-punk, sprinkled with electronic Eurodance atmospheres, the combination of which gives rise to a truly electrifying sound. It wouldn't be too risky to say that Angry Odd Kids are beginning a new phase of national punk rock.
In this release celebrating the 15th anniversary of the release of the album "AOK", which is now available for the first time on streaming and download platforms, the band decided to include 4 bonus tracks: The single "Só Um Par De Palavras", an electric and acoustic version, and two songs in English; "Tell Me" and "I Want To Stop This Moment", both "remakes" of "Sabes Bem Como Sou" (2006) and "Quero Para O Tempo" (2009) respectively, which in this version feature the participation of the North American band With My Own Eyes.
Original CD release date: 2009-10-09
