O Dia em Que Todos Acreditaram
Vitorino Voador‘O dia em que todos acreditaram’ is the first full-length album by Vitorino Voador - João Gil solo project (member of Diabo na Cruz, You Can't Win Charlie Brown, among other projects).
The disc was produced and recorded by João Gil and features several guests, including: David ‘Noiserv’ Santos, António Vasconcelos Dias (Tape Junk, Hombres con Hambre) and José Joaquim de Castro. It was mixed and mastered by José Arantes at L-House (in London). The disc's artwork, designed by J.P. Mendes (Capitão Capitão), was based on elements from Joshua Benoliel's photographic work, namely images of old Lisbon provided by the Lisbon City Council Municipal Archive.
‘This disc is, among many other things, about promises broken and others kept (...). As far as the music itself is concerned, what I can say is that I wanted to work on everything differently. I wanted the arrangements to follow a different path, I wanted to bring more people onto the disc and receive what each guest had to give to the songs. I'm not going to say much more about what the disc is, since what it is for me may be very different from what it will be for others.’ (João Gil).
