Pintar o Sete

The Não Simão are celebrating three centuries of Portuguese poetry with new songs based on poems by Cesário Verde, Almada Negreiros, Ana Hatherly and Cláudia R. Sampaio, in the year that marks the 130th anniversary of Almada Negreiros' birth.
The songs have been written, the stage set has been set and the Não Simão are ready to take to the stage with a new repertoire, always with the aim of valuing the sung word and Portuguese poets.

The album contains 7+1 songs and the CD-book contains digital access to the songs.
Pintar o Sete is supported by SPAutores and DGArtes and is an Antena1 album released by the new Portuguese label, Escaparate.
The Não Simão are performing live with Simão Palmeirim on vocals and guitar, José Anjos on drums, Eduardo Jordão on bass, Marco Alves on trombone and Ana Raquel on baritone saxophone. The guests on the album are: Gonçalo Mahú Curto (piano); Ana L. Valdeira, Bernardo Palmeirim, Madalena Palmeirim, Susana Chicó (choir).
