Francisco Antunes

Francisco Antunes (born 2003) lives in Lisbon. He began studying music at the Gregorian Institute of Lisbon. His interest in the guitar began with rock music and later expanded to punk, hip-hop and rap. With these new interests came an interest in jazz, and in 2022 he began studying at the Hot Club de Portugal and in 2025 at the Escola Superior de Música.

During these years, he crossed paths with countless musicians who contributed to his training and who influenced and shaped his musical interests and influences. He had the pleasure and good fortune to study with musicians such as Zé Cruz, João Espadinha, André Santos, Mário Delgado, Luís Cunha, Gonçalo Marques, among others. He has performed in various venues, in different groups and formations.

In jazz, he finds a way to connect all these influences, and in 2025 he recorded the album ‘Ver Onde Vai’ alongside Vasco Pereira, Francisco Brito, and Gonçalo Nunes.
